The Westchester Emergency Volunteer Reserves (WEVR) is a volunteer program managed by the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services. The WEVR program provides an organized way for ordinary citizens to take an active role in emergency preparedness. As a member with the WEVR program you will learn the skills and expertise necessary to better prepare yourself and your loved ones for both large scale and domestic emergency situations. Training will be provided to you, free of charge, by experienced emergency professionals in a variety of topics including fire suppression, basic first aid, CPR-AED, shelter operation and much more.

WEVR members may also be requested to assist Westchester County with response and recovery efforts during times of disaster.
