Courses for first responders and county residents

The Department of Emergency Services (DES) provides a wide array of training opportunities to firefighters, EMTs, local businesses and residents. Courses range from basic firefighting and emergency management to special classes on hazardous materials and blood borne pathogens, all taught at our facility.

We provide corporate safety courses during the work week to local businesses with the option of holding a class at DES or their facility.

Residents and emergency response members who are volunteer members of the Westchester Emergency Volunteer Reserves - Medical Reserve Corps (WEVR-MRC) may now take courses online or at the DES facility.

For questions regarding course availability, or to register, call the training division at (914) 231-1699. Career and volunteer first responders may also register online.
