Yes, the H.E.R.R.O. program is currently accepting applications for Spring, Summer, Fall 2023
You must have completed one year of volunteer service.
No. There are no provisions in the HERRO guidance to reimburse tuition for the children of volunteers.
Yes. Enrollment in non-degree programs and certificate programs is eligible for reimbursement. Review the program guide to learn more.
No, we do not require an official transcript. You may submit an unofficial copy from your student portal.
No. The HERRO grant program is for higher education tuition reimbursement.

No. The program can only reimburse for student loan payments made to the student loan company in 2023. If you resume payments this year, you can apply for reimbursement of payments made through December 2023
No. Volunteers cannot combine service records to meet the service requirement, regardless of relation.
Yes. Any student loan payments made in 2023 are eligible for reimbursement up to $6,000 for the year. Proof of payment is required.
We recommend submitting your application and required forms as soon as possible. You will be placed in the HERRO system while we await your grades at the end of the semester. The date you submit the application will be the date recorded as your submission date.
